Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Job Title: Support Worker (Bank/Temporary Shifts)
Location: Merseyside & Lancashire (Various Residential and Supported Living Homes)
About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our flexible bank team, providing cover across residential and supported living homes in Merseyside and Lancashire. This role involves supporting individuals with a high level of autism, helping them achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide person-centred support to individuals with high-level autism, including assistance with daily living, personal care, and community activities
Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times
Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to deliver consistent and effective care
Follow individual care plans, ensuring all support is tailored to each person’s unique needs
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory standards
Respond appropriately to challenging behaviour, using positive behaviour support strategies
Adapt to different home environments and support teams as required
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting individuals with autism or in a similar care setting within the UK
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work weekdays and/or weekends as required
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle preferred (for travel between homes)
Up-to-date DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
